The old railwayman's house is a former railwayman's house on the Lauda – Wertheim railway line and is now a residential area on the outskirts of the Werbach district of Niklashausen in the Main-Tauber district in northeast Baden-Württemberg .

geography

The living space is on the Taubertal cycle path , about 400 meters after leaving Niklashausen in the direction of Gamburg on the left edge of the Taubertal . A path branching off from the L 506 ( Wertheimer Straße ) in Niklashausen leads first to the residential area at the Niklashausen stop and then on the Taubertal cycle path further downstream to the old railway guard's house at Schulstraße 26 .

history

The building was created during the construction of the railway line, which began in October 1866. It is now used as a residential building with a beer garden extension. The living space came to the Werbach municipality on January 1, 1975 as part of the formerly independent municipality of Niklashausen.
