Niklashausen stop is a residential area in the area of the Werbach district of Niklashausen in the Main-Tauber district in northeast Baden-Württemberg , named after the Niklashausen stop on the Lauda – Wertheim railway line .

geography

The living space is located directly on the Taubertal cycle path after leaving Niklashausen in the direction of Gamburg , on the left edge of the Taubertal . A path branching off from L 506 ( Wertheimer Straße ) in Niklashausen leads over a Tauber bridge to the residential area. Down the river along the Taubertal cycle path, after about 400 meters, you will find the Altes Bahnwärterhaus residential area at Schulstraße 26 .

history

Construction of the Lauda – Wertheim railway line began in October 1866. As a result, the Niklashausen stop was built, which is still served by regional trains to this day . The former station building was demolished and replaced by a glazed shelter.

The living space came to the Werbach municipality on January 1, 1975 as part of the formerly independent municipality of Niklashausen.
