Altice USA (formerly Cablevision ) is an American media company. Cablevision is the fifth largest cable television company in the country and in 25th place in the international ranking of media groups. In September 2015, the Dutch company Altice (renamed Altice Europe since then ) announced the takeover of Cablevision for 17.7 billion US dollars ; After the takeover, Altice listed its American activities again in 2017 as an independent sister company under the control of joint shareholder Patrick Drahi under the name Altice USA.

A division of MSG LP, MSG Entertainment , produces various shows and events in these and other houses, including with the dance ensemble The Rockettes .

Sports

Cablevision owns the New York Knicks (basketball), New York Rangers (ice hockey), New York Liberty (women's basketball) and Hartford Wolf Pack (ice hockey) teams through its subsidiary Madison Square Garden LP (MSG Sports division ).
