Altmanns is a cadastral community of Asparn an der Zaya in the Mistelbach district in Lower Austria .
geography
The Linsenangerdorf Altmanns is located in northern Lower Austria at an altitude of approx. 295 meters north-west of Mistelbach and on the western edge of the Ladenbrunn forest.
Altmanns has 118 inhabitants (2001, source: Statistics Austria) .
history
The area was already populated during the Neolithic and Latène periods .
Attractions
- Southwest of the village is the so-called Simperlberg , a medieval local mountain . This consists of an 8–10 meter high cone, a 40 × 25 meter pateau and a ring wall. Legend has it that the Swedes gathered the mountain to look out for it.
- The chapel dedicated to the Holy Family , a simple building from the 19th century.
