The Altweiherbach is the orographically left and western source river of the Riveris in Rhineland-Palatinate , Germany . It is dammed up by the old pond.
geography
The stream rises about 2.4 km northwest of Reinsfeld at an altitude of 575 m above sea level. NHN . From here the stream flows in a westerly direction along the southern foot of the Görendkopf . After a distance of 1.8 km unite at 460 m above sea level. NHN Altweiherbach and Eschbach to the Riveris .
The stream overcomes a height difference of 115 m, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 63.9 ‰. It drains a 2.532 km² catchment area via the Riveris, Ruwer , Moselle and Rhine to the North Sea .
