action

Alyce leads a bleak life, lives alone and has a boring job with a rigorous supervisor. The only person she has a zest for life and a lot of fun with is her best friend Carroll.

One evening they both move around the house, are turned on by men because of their attractiveness and consume a lot of alcohol. At a club, Carroll catches her boyfriend Vince cheating with Renee. Completely beside herself, she imagines slitting his stomach open and watching him slowly die. They go to another club to buy drugs from a dealer named Rex. In a drug intoxication, they later go to the flat roof of Alyce's apartment complex and enjoy their condition. But in a daze, Alyce pushes her friend off the roof. Distraught, she takes both handbags and hides in her apartment. There she sees the disfigured Carroll several times in her drug addiction. When a police officer knocks and questions her, she says that Carroll was lovesick and went up on the roof alone. She also learns that Carroll is not dead, but horribly disfigured. She can no longer speak either, because she bit off her tongue on impact.

With a guilty conscience, she visits Carroll in the hospital, whose pulse suddenly increased massively after she recognized Alyce. Alyce's life is now spiraling out of control. She goes to Rex to buy drugs. However, he also demands sex in return, so that she prostitutes herself . The drugs take precarious possession of her in the next few days. Her job performance falls rapidly and her drug purchases from Rex result in increasingly intense sexual activity. Alyce loses her job and with it her last constant in life. This is also the beginning of their personal vengeance campaign. Alyce visits Carroll again at the hospital and suffocates her with a pillow. Completely out of her mind, she catches the ripper Kurt in a club and takes him home. She abuses him during sex and sends him away coolly and dismissively when Vince answers to pick up Carroll's purse. A little later she receives Vince in her apartment and slits his stomach with a knife. She then cuts off various limbs and hits the dead body, which calls her landlord to the scene, who complains about noise pollution. Renee is also killed by her. Armed with a baseball bat, she then makes her way to Rex, whom she also dismembered.

She returns home with body parts in a garbage bag. When she sees police officers and her landlord standing in front of the body parts when she enters her apartment, she only asks: "Is' what?"

criticism

“A psychological thriller that is increasingly transforming itself into a tough horror shocker in the style of“ High Tension ”, in which fans of very hard goods get their money's worth. Jay Lee ( Zombie Strippers ) takes a lot of time to build his story and can mainly count on the convincing Jade Dornfeld to make the payoff of his plot construct so extremely effective. Even if the overall pace could be a bit faster, Alyce - Out of Control is a film that stands out enough from the majority of genre reproductions. "

" Alyce - Out of Control plays with the viewer's expectations. At first he fulfills these when you see how Alyce is being eaten up by her guilt, but then Lee goes in a completely different direction and turns it into a drug drama, only to turn around again in the last third. The really strange thing, however, is that the film comes across as very light-hearted at first, then suddenly becomes immensely dark and in the end, despite all the exaggeration, is a mixture of both. Alyce is not an exciting film. But it is something that you rarely get to see in this form: boring and fascinating at the same time. Thanks to the excellent leading actress Jade Dornfeld, you will always be drawn into the film. And due to the sudden change in narrative form, the film remains surprising enough that one is willing to endure moments of leaden weight because one wants to know how the whole thing will end. That in turn is worth it, because the end is just perfect. "
