Amélie Sandmann (born March 3, 1967 in Aachen ) is a German singer who also works as an actress and voice actress .

Life

As a three-year-old Sandmann stood in Leuven , where she spent part of her childhood, on stage as Snow White , danced in ballet and sang in the children's choir. During her vocal and acting training in Barcelona , Salzburg and Munich, she took part in opera and concert productions. She works at festivals (including European Weeks in Passau, Ruhr Piano Festival, Salzburg Festival) and can also be seen as a guest actress on German television.

In 1989 she had a hit with Hallo Alf, this is Rhonda , which was in the German single charts for twelve weeks. She sang the song together with Alf speaker and actor Tommi Piper at Polydor . Sandmann had been in a relationship with Piper since 1985 at the time.

Sandmann is an animal and environmentalist. She supports u. a. Barbara Rütting's campaigns .

Amélie Sandmann is married to the pianist and musicologist Siegfried Mauser . The couple lives in Munich and Salzburg.
