Am Kühbuck (also Am Kühböck) is a hamlet on the boundary of the Markt Einersheim market in the Lower Franconian district of Kitzingen .
Geographical location
The district of Am Kühbuck is located in the south of the Markt Einersheimer municipality. Kühbuck refers to a small hill where the dairy cows of the nearby Einersheim grazed. In the north is Markt Einersheim, in the east is Possenheim , a district of Iphofen . Further to the south, the Nuremberg – Würzburg railway runs past the district. In the west are the districts of Einersheim Am Wasserhäuschen and Schwarzmühle .
history
The area around the Kühbuck was settled as early as the Neolithic . There were settlements from the Hallstatt and Latène times in the immediate vicinity . During the Franconian colonization, the Kühbuck remained settled; the Kirchheim deserted area probably stood here . During the construction of today's buildings, a Merovingian burial ground was found and a belt buckle and a batting stable were excavated. The district of Am Kühbuck today consists of two emigrant farms from 1962 and 1965.
