Geographical location

Am Wasserhäuschen is located in the southwest of the market in Einersheimer municipality on the Moorseebach . To the south, separated by the Schäfersberg, begins the district of Mönchsondheim , part of the city of Iphofen. In the southwest, the black mill connects to the water house.

In addition to the waterfront cottage is the pool of market Einersheim. The Linsenbrünnlein rises in the immediate vicinity next to the Moorseebach.

The Franconian Marienweg runs through the district .

history

The water house was built in 1865 when a so-called motor pump house was built below the railway bridge. Markt Einersheim had problems with the water supply because the community is in the so-called basic gypsum . In a report from 1890, two water pumps in the water house are named, which were driven by an overshot wheel. The report says: "A simpler and relatively cheaper waterworks is unlikely to have been built in recent times".

From there the so-called boiling water was transported by pumps to the market place in Einersheim, where it could be collected in a reservoir and fetched by the population. The water house was imitated as a model by other pumping stations. In 1937 the swimming pool was built next to the house. In 1950 the water house was moved to its current location, in 1963 the bath was converted into a sewage treatment plant and a new swimming pool was built in the neighborhood . In 1953/1954 the water house lost its original function when Markt Einersheim was connected to the long-distance water supply.
