Titular Archdiocese of Amasea

Amasea is a titular archbishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to an earlier diocese of the city of the same name in the Roman province of Bithynia et Pontus or Diospontus and in late antiquity Helenopontus on the Turkish Black Sea coast near Sinop .
