The Roman Catholic Diocese of Molfetta-Ruvo- Giovinazzo-Terlizzi ( Latin Dioecesis Melphictensis-Rubensis-Iuvenacensis-Terlitiensis , Italian Diocese of Molfetta-Ruvo-Giovinazzo-Terlizzi ) is in Italy located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church with headquarters in Molfetta .
A bishop of Molfetta is documented for the first time in 1136, an exact date of foundation is not known. The diocese, located in the ecclesiastical province of Bari , united the two dioceses Giovinazzo and Terlizzi on March 4, 1836 and was henceforth called Molfetta-Giovinazzo-Terlizzi. On September 30, 1986, the Diocese of Ruvo was also united with the diocese, which has been named after it since then.
The relics of Blessed Conrad of Bavaria , who died in Modugno in 1154, are kept in Molfetta Cathedral .
