Ambrogio Agius
Ambrogio Agius OSB (born September 17, 1856 in Malta , † December 12, 1911 ) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop and diplomat of the Holy See .
Life
Ambrogio Agius joined the Congregation of Benedictine at and received on 16 October 1881, the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On September 3, 1904 appointed him Pope Pius X to Titular Archbishop of Palmyra and ordered him to the apostolic delegate to the Philippines . Cardinal Secretary of State Rafael Merry del Val donated him episcopal ordination on September 18 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were titular Archbishop Edmund Stonor , and the Archbishop of New Orleans , Placide Louis Chapelle .
