Ambrose Papaiah Yeddanapalli OFM (born August 20, 1914 in Pannur , British India , † November 20, 1997 ) was Bishop of Bellary .

Life

Ambrose Papaiah Yeddanapalli joined the Congregation of the Franciscan at and received on 3 October 1943, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 10, 1963, Pope John XXIII appointed him . to the Bishop of Bellary. The Internuntius in India, Archbishop James Robert Knox , donated him episcopal ordination on April 14, 1964 ; Co- consecrators were the Coadjutor Archbishop of Delhi , Angelo Innocent Fernandes , and the Archbishop of Hyderabad , Joseph Mark Gopu .

On October 6, 1992, Pope John Paul II accepted Ambrose Papaiah Yeddanapalli's resignation due to reasons of age.

He attended the third and fourth sessions of the Second Vatican Council as a council father.
