Ametoctradin is a chemical compound from the group of the triazole-pyrimidylamines. It is a fungicide and was developed by BASF in 2004 . Ametoctradin works by inhibiting complex III of the respiratory chain at an unknown point. Ametoctradin is effective against late blight ( Phytophthora infestans ) and downy mildew ( downy mildew of grapevines and Pseudoperonospora cubensis on cucumbers and Bremia lactucae on lettuce).

Admission

In 2013, the EU Commission decided to include ametoctradin for use as a fungicide in the list of active ingredients permitted for plant protection products. The approval is valid for ten years from August 1, 2013.

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plant protection products with this active ingredient are approved. Ametoctradin is sold as a mixture with Metiram under the trade name Enervin, and with Dimethomorph as Orvego and Zampro.
