Amira Sayed Khaled (born February 7, 1997 ) is an Egyptian shot putter and discus thrower .

Athletic career

Amira Sayed gained her first international experience at the 2013 African Youth Championships in Warri , where she won the gold medal in the discus throw with 42.20 m and the silver medal in the shot put with 13.61 m. Then she won the Arab Youth Championships in Cairo with 44.48 m and reached ninth place at the World Youth Championships in Donetsk with 44.61 m and was eliminated with the ball with 14.02 m in the qualification. The following year she won the Arab Junior Championships in Cairo with 44.81 m in the discus throw and won the bronze medal in the shot put with 12.54 m. So she qualified in the discus throw for the Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing , where she finished fifth with 47.12 m in the final. In 2015 she won the silver medal with the discus at the Junior African Championships in Addis Ababa with 44.60 m and was seventh in the shot put with a distance of 11.45 m. Then she reached fifth place at the Arab Championships in Manama with 45.87 m. In 2016 she retired from the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz with 47.83 m in qualification. In 2018 she finished 13th at the Mediterranean Games with 49.17 m and took seventh place in the discus throw with 48.02 m and eighth place in the shot put at the African Championships in Asaba .

In 2019 she won the silver medal behind the Bahraini Noora Salem Jasim at the Arab Championships in Cairo with 45.04 m . In July she was eliminated from the qualification at the Summer Universiade in Naples with a width of 49.22 m. At the end of August she took part in the Africa Games in Rabat for the first time , where she finished seventh with 47.13 m.

In 2016 and 2019 Sayed was Egyptian champion in the discus throw.
