Ammonium arsenate is an inorganic chemical compound from the group of arsenates .

Extraction and presentation

Ammonium arsenate can be obtained by reacting arsenic acid with ammonia to form the trihydrate.

properties

Ammonium arsenate is a white solid that is in the form of rhombic crystal flakes. It loses ammonia and water in the air and changes into the hydrogen arsenate . When the aqueous solution is boiled, so much ammonia escapes that the composition of the solution corresponds to that of dihydrogen arsenate .
