Amperpettenbach
Amperpettenbach is part of the municipality of Haimhausen and a district in the Bavarian district of Dachau in Germany .
The church village is located in the Amper valley west of the DAH 3 district road, around twelve kilometers northeast of Dachau and two kilometers northwest of Haimhausen.
history
The place is mentioned in a document in 772 as Petinpah . The name of the place derives from Old High German and means settlement on the brook of the Petto . The name Amperpettenbach has only been in use since the 18th century to distinguish it from the nearby Langenpettenbach .
The municipality of Amperpettenbach was dissolved on January 1, 1972 as part of the municipal reorganization in Bavaria . The municipal parts of Amperpettenbach, Hörgenbach , Oberndorf and Westerndorf were incorporated into Haimhausen, Gänsstall and Sulzrain were reclassified to Hebertshausen .
Attractions
- Church of St. Martin: There has been evidence of a church in the village since 1315. The current construction of St. Martin's Church on a small elevation on the northern edge of the village is one of the few churches in Upper Bavaria whose Romanesque nave is only marginally overformed.
