Amphoe Khok Sung ( Thai : อำเภอ โคก สูง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the east of Sa Kaeo province . The province of Sa Kaeo is located in the eastern region of Thailand on the border with Cambodia , but is administratively counted to central Thailand .
geography
Amphoe Khok Sung is bounded by the following Amphoe (clockwise from the south): Aranyaprathet , Watthana Nakhon and Ta Phraya of Sa Kaeo Province. To the east lies the Banteay Meanchey Province of Cambodia .
history
Khok Sung was first established on July 15, 1996 as a “branch circle” ( King Amphoe ) by separating it from Ta Phraya district .
On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

The district of Khok Sung is divided into four tambon ("subdistricts" or "municipalities"), which are further subdivided into 41 muban ("villages").

- Khok Sung (Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โคก สูง ) consisting of the complete tambon Khok Sung.
There are also three " tambon administration organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO)
- Nong Muang (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง ม่วง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Muang.
- Nong Waeng (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล หนอง แวง ) consisting of the complete Tambon Nong Waeng.
- Non Mak Mun (Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล โนน หมาก มุ่น ) consisting of the complete tambon Non Mak Mun.
