Amphoe Mueang Sa Kaeo ( Thai อำเภอ เมือง สระแก้ว ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) in Sa Kaeo Province . The province of Sa Kaeo is located in the eastern region of Thailand on the border with Cambodia , but is administratively counted to central Thailand . The capital of the province of Sa Kaeo is also called Sa Kaeo .

Neighboring districts are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Khon Buri of Nakhon Ratchasima province , the Amphoe Watthana Nakhon and Khao Chakan of Sa Kaeo province and Amphoe Kabin Buri and Na Di of the province of Prachin Buri .
history
In 1909 the "Branch Circle" ( King Amphoe ) Sa Kaeo was established as part of Amphoe Kabin Buri . On July 23, 1958, he received full Amphoe Starus. When the new province Sa Kaeo was created in 1993, Sa Kaeo was renamed as the central district in Mueang Sa Kaeo.
