Suk Samran District ( Thai : อำเภอ สุข สำราญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) of Ranong province . Ranong Province is located in the northwest of the southern region of Thailand .
geography
Amphoe La-un is bounded by the following amphoe (clockwise from the north): Amphoe Kapoe of Ranong Province, Amphoe Ban Ta Khun of Surat Thani Province and Amphoe Khura Buri of Phang Nga Province . To the west lies the Andaman Sea .
The eastern half of the district is part of the " Khlong Nakha Wildlife Sanctuary " (Thai: เขต รักษา พันธุ์ สัตว์ ป่า คลอง นาคา , in English: Khlong Nakha Wildlife Sanctuary ).
history
On April 1, 1992, Suk Samran was initially set up as a small district ( King Amphoe ) by separating the southern part of Amphoe Kapoe .
On May 15, 2007 the Thai government decided to raise all 81 King Amphoe to simple amphoe status in order to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette "Issue 124 chapter 46" on August 24, 2007 this decision officially entered into force.

Amphoe Suk Samran is divided into two communities ( Tambon ) , which are further divided into 13 villages ( Muban ) .

Local administration
There is a small town ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Kamphuan ( เทศบาล ตำบล กำ พ วน ) consists of the entire Tambon Kamphuan.
Tambon Nakha is administered by a "Tambon Administration Organization" (TAO, องค์การ บริหารส่วน ตำบล ).
