Amphoe Taphan Hin ( Thai : อำเภอ ตะพานหิน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the central part of Phichit Province . Phichit Province is located in the southern part of the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the east): Amphoe Thap Khlo , Bang Mun Nak , Pho Thale , Bueng Na Rang , Pho Prathap Chang , Mueang Phichit and Wang Sai Phun of Phichit Province.
history
In 1937 the "branch circuit" was ( King Amphoe ) Taphan Hin set up by the small districts Huai Ket recomposed the Mueang District, Thap Khlo and Khlong Khun by the district Bang Mun Nak and Wang Samrong of Pho Thale district. Taphan Hin was subordinate to the Mueang Phichit district. In 1940 it was upgraded to an amphoe .
