Amphoe Thap Than ( Thai อำเภอ ทัพทัน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the north of Uthai Thani Province . The Uthai Thani Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from southeast): Amphoe Mueang Uthai Thani , Nong Khayang , Nong Chang , Lan Sak and Sawang Arom in Uthai Thani Province and Amphoe Krok Phra in Nakhon Sawan Province .

history

In 1906 the district of Nong Kradi was renamed Thap Than, in 1917 Thap Than was officially assigned to the province of Uthai Thani.

Local administration

There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:

  • Taluk Du ( เทศบาล ตำบล ต ลุก ดู่ ) consists of the entire Tambon Taluk Du.
  • Thap Than ( เทศบาล ตำบล ทัพทัน ) consists of the whole tambon Thap Than, Thung Na Thai, Khao Khi Foi and Nong Ya Plong.
  • Nong Sa ( เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง สระ ) consists of the whole Tambon Nong Sa.

There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations " ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO) for the tambon in the county that do not belong to any city.
