Amphoe Sawang Arom ( Thai อำเภอ สว่างอารมณ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - Administrative District) in the north of Uthai Thani Province . The Uthai Thani Province is located in the northern region of Thailand .

Neighboring counties (clockwise from the east): Thap Than and Lan Sak districts in Uthai Thani Province and Lat Yao and Krok Phra districts in Nakhon Sawan Province .
history
In 1960, Sawang Arom was initially set up as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) - subordinate to Thap Than - by separating four tambon from Thap Than. In 1963 he got full amphoe status.

Amphoe Sawang Arom is divided into five communes ( tambon ) , which are further subdivided into 64 villages ( muban ) .

Local administration
There are three municipalities with "small town" status ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the district:
- Sawang Arom ( เทศบาล ตำบล สว่างอารมณ์ ) consists of parts of the Tambon Sawang Arom.
- Sawang Chaeng Sabai Chai ( เทศบาล ตำบล สว่าง แจ้ง สบายใจ ) consists of the remaining parts of the Tambon Sawang Arom.
- Phluang Song Nang ( เทศบาล ตำบล พลวง สอง นาง ) consists of the entire tambon Phluang Song Nang.
The remaining three tambon are powered by a " Tambon Administration Organization (" องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organization, TAO) managed.
