history

The office was formed in 1528 with the abolition of the provost of Ebstorf monastery by Ernst the Confessor . The monastery had jurisdiction in the Go Ebstorf since the 14th century. The administrative area was divided into six Veeste until the 19th century .

During the administrative reform of 1852, the villages of Golste and Seedorf (from the Medingen office ) and Brambostel, Dreilingen, Eimke and Wichtenbeck (from the Bodenteich office ) came to Ebstorf.
