The Ketzin Office was an office in Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which five municipalities in what was then the Nauen district (now the Havelland district , Brandenburg) were combined to form an administrative association. It was dissolved again in the course of the municipal reform in Brandenburg in 2003, the municipalities were incorporated into the city of Ketzin. At the end of 2002 the Ketzin office had 6,504 inhabitants.

Geographical location

The Ketzin office was in the Havelland district in the western part of Brandenburg . It bordered in the north on the Nauen-Land office , in the northeast on the Wustermark office , in the east on the Fahrland office , in the south on the Werder and Groß Kreutz offices and in the west on the Beetzsee office .

Formation of the Ketzin office

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg, Alwin Ziel , gave his consent to the formation of the Ketzin Office on April 21, 1992 with effect from May 22, 1992. The seat of the official administration was in the city of Ketzin. The office comprised the municipalities (in the order in which they were named in the Official Journal):

  1. Etzin
  2. Tremmen
  3. Falcon deer
  4. Zachow
  5. Heretic

In 1992 the Ketzin office had 6444 inhabitants. The Etzin community voluntarily incorporated into the city of Ketzin in 2002. However, the incorporation did not become legally effective until October 26, 2003. The municipalities of Tremmen, Falkenrehde and Zachow, however, were incorporated into the city of Ketzin by law as part of the municipal reform in Brandenburg . At the same time, the Ketzin office was dissolved and the city of Ketzin was made vacant. The municipalities of Falkenrehde, Tremmen and Zachow lodged a municipal constitutional complaint against their incorporation into the city of Ketzin at the constitutional court of the state of Brandenburg, which, however, was rejected.

Office Director

The first official director of the Ketzin office was Axel Hedergott. He became a city councilor in Spandau in 1999. Jens Uwe Bock was the last official director from May 1, 2000 until the Ketzin office was dissolved.
