The Amt Lehnin was an office in Brandenburg formed in 1992 , in which 13 municipalities in what was then the Brandenburg -Land district (now the Potsdam-Mittelmark district , Brandenburg) were combined to form an administrative community. Another parish was assigned in 1992. The official seat was in the municipality of Lehnin , today part of the municipality of Kloster Lehnin . The Lehnin office was dissolved again in 2002, and the core of the office was incorporated into the Lehnin convent. The Lehnin office had 11593 inhabitants at the end of 2001.

Geographical location

The office Lehnin was in the northern half of the Potsdam-Mittelmark district. It bordered in the north on the offices of Emster-Havel and Groß Kreutz , in the east on the offices of Werder and Beelitz , in the south on the office Brück and in the west on the office Ziesar and the independent city of Brandenburg an der Havel .

The Minister of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the formation of the Lehnin Office on June 30, 1992. July 3, 1992 was set as the date of establishment of the office. The office was located in the municipality of Lehnin and initially consisted of 13 municipalities in what was then the Brandenburg -Land district:

On August 30, 1992, the community of Göhlsdorf (Potsdam-Land district) was assigned to the Lehnin office. At the end of 1992 the Lehnin office had 10,906 inhabitants.

On March 15, 2002, the Ministry of the Interior of the State of Brandenburg approved the merger of the municipalities of Emstal, Göhlsdorf, Grebs, Krahne, Lehnin, Michelsdorf, Nahmitz, Netzen, Prützke, Rädel, Reckahn and Rietz (all of the Amt Lehnin) and the official municipality of Damsdorf of the Office Emster-Havel to the new municipality of Kloster Lehnin with effect from April 1, 2002. On April 1, 2002 the municipality of Oberjünne was incorporated into the municipality of Planebruch of the Office of Brück. The community of Golzow moved to the office of Brück. At the same time the Lehnin office was dissolved. The municipality of Trechwitz ( Amt Emster-Havel ) was incorporated into the municipality of Kloster Lehnin by law on October 26, 2003.

Office Director

The first and only official director of the Lehnin office was Bernd Kreykenbohm. In 2003 he was elected mayor of the Lehnin Monastery community.
