Bad Gandersheim District Court
The Bad Gandersheim District Court is one of nine district courts in the Braunschweig district court. It is based in Bad Gandersheim and is the smallest district court in Lower Saxony .
The Bad Gandersheim District Court has only been responsible for the city of Bad Gandersheim since January 1, 2013 and therefore has around 10,000 court residents . With the incorporation of the municipality of Kreiensen, which previously also belonged to the jurisdiction of the Bad Gandersheim district court, into the city of Einbeck , the Einbeck district court has taken over responsibility for the area of the former municipality of Kreiensen. This also changed this area from the Braunschweig regional court district to the Göttingen regional court district.
The higher-ranking court is the Braunschweig Regional Court . The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Braunschweig .
Housed is the district court since 1859 in Palas the former castle Gandersheim that the Brunswick dukes built in the 13th century.
