An Chol-hyok (born June 27, 1985 in Kanggye-shi ) is a North Korean football player .

Career

An appears internationally as a player for Rimyongsu SG .

He has been a member of the North Korean national team since 2005 and was used during qualifying for the 2006 World Cup . At the end of 2005 he reached the final of the King's Cup with the national team in Thailand , and in 2007 he played there again. Also in 2005 he finished third with the national selection at the East Asian Championship , three years later it was only enough for fourth and last place in the final tournament . In 2010 they missed the third consecutive finals because of the poorer goal difference against Hong Kong. In 2007 he stood several times for the North Korean U-23 selection in qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Games , but failed with the team in the final qualifying round.

In the successful qualification for the 2010 World Cup , An acted as a supplementary player and was used in three games. An was also part of the North Korean squad at the World Cup finals in South Africa , but was not used in the preliminary round.
