An Horse is an indie rock duo from Brisbane , Australia, founded in 2007 .

history

Kate Cooper and Damon Cox met while working at a record store called Skinny's . They started making music together in 2007 after installing a PA in the record store that they rehearsed on after work. The origin of the band name came from a grammar dispute between Kate Cooper and her neighbor over the use of "an" before a word with H. He made her a sweater that read "An Horse" and has since insisted it was correct. The correct formulation is of course "a horse". In 2008 An Horse released their first EP Not Really Scared . In the same year the duo toured North America with Tegan and Sara and Australia in August with Death Cab for Cutie . On March 19, 2010, the debut album Rearrange Beds was released by the Hamburg indie label Grand Hotel van Cleef . In the past few months they toured together with Simon Den Hartog, singer from the Kilians , for the first time through Germany, Austria and Switzerland. On April 29, 2011 An Horse released the second album Walls . The single Dressed Sharply was released in advance on April 22, 2011 . In the run-up to the releases, An Horse played a tour, followed by appearances at the Hurricane and Southside festivals in the summer . Together with Tim Neuhaus , a split EP was released on October 14, 2011, which is home to the new single Not Mine and the song Lines . At the end of October, both artists went on tour together through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
