Anastassija "Nastja" Nikolajewna Kedrina ( Russian Анастасия Николаевна Кедрина ; born April 3, 1992 in Saint Petersburg ) is a Russian ski racer . Her mother Lyudmila Kedrina , b. Reus, was also a ski racer and her daughter's first trainer. Her older brother Maxim Kedrin was also a ski racer.
biography
Anastassija Kedrina was already on skis at the age of two and drove her first race at the age of five. In December 2007 Kedrina played her first FIS race , on March 9, 2008 she celebrated her first victory in a slalom in Krasnoyarsk . The Russian competed in the European Cup for the first time in January 2009, but initially did not reach the points in any race, i.e. placements among the top 30. Her best result at the Junior World Championships was achieved by Kedrina with sixth place in the combination of Garmisch-Partenkirchen 2009 . At the European Youth Olympic Festival 2009 in Szczyrk , she reached fourth place in slalom. In March 2009, the then 16-year-old Russian became champion in super-G and super-combined.
In November 2009, Kedrina suffered torn knee ligaments while training in Funäsdalen, Sweden , which is why she could not take part in any competitions in the winter of 2009/10. In the summer of 2010 she achieved two second places in the Australian New Zealand Cup . On November 28, 2010, Kedrina made her World Cup debut in the Aspen slalom , but failed to qualify for the second round of the best 30. She then took part in several races in the Nor-Am Cup and on December 14, 2010 came third in the super combination of Panorama . On January 27, 2011, she won her first European Cup points when she finished 23rd in the downhill from Pila . Four weeks later, she finished in the top 20 for the first time in the three European Cup races in Sochi .
As in the previous year, Kedrina also took part in several races in the Nor-Am Cup at the beginning of the 2011/12 season. She made it onto the podium three times and won the giant slalom in Panorama on December 15th. On January 22, 2012, she achieved her first top 10 result in the European Cup with ninth place in the downhill run from St. Moritz . At her last junior world championship , after failing in giant slalom and super-G, she only finished 16th in slalom. At the end of the season she became Russian champion 2012 in downhill and super-G.
