Woldseth played his first and only international tournament when he took part in the Four Hills Tournament in 1958/59 . He reached fourth place in Oberstdorf and Bischofshofen and jumped onto the podium in Innsbruck with third place. In the end, he finished seventh in the tour's overall ranking. At the Norwegian Championships in Porsgrunn in 1959 he won the gold medal on the normal hill ahead of Kåre Berg and Arnfinn Bergmann . Shortly before, he also won the Svenska Skidspelen . Woldseth was the first winner of a mat jumping in Norway on the Skeidbakken in Oslo in November 1959. He died a short time later at the age of only 25.
