André Bohm
André Looft, née Böhm ( pseudonym : Mönchsleben ; born April 14, 1977 in Leipzig ) is a German filmmaker , photographer and cameraman .
Life
André Looft studied camera at the University of Film and Television Potsdam , HFF. In 2004 he completed his studies with a diploma thesis on the Qatsi trilogy ( Koyaanisqatsi , Powaqqatsi and Naqoyqatsi ) by Godfrey Reggio .
Looft worked as a freelance cameraman and photographer for television reports and various video productions. Since 1999 he has been realizing his own film projects, including commissioned work in the educational sector, documentaries and music videos, and works with Berlin film productions.
As a speaker and specialist lecturer, André Looft teaches media and communication (MuK) in all-day schools, gives lectures for trainee teachers at the State Institute for School and Media Berlin-Brandenburg and teaches would-be filmmakers in theory and practice. In 2008 he founded the video production company HELIOSfilm Produktion in Babelsberg , which mainly produces portraits, documentaries, image films and live recordings as well as short fiction films, music videos and experimental films.
