André Charles Collini (born November 18, 1921 in Tunis , † November 10, 2003 in Lourdes ) was Archbishop of Toulouse .

Life

André Charles Collini was ordained a priest on September 20, 1947 .

Pope John XXIII appointed him on September 7, 1962 Coadjutor Bishop of Ajaccio and Titular Bishop of Zephyrium . The Archbishop of Carthage , Paul-Marie-Maurice Perrin , ordained him on 7 October of the same year Bishop ; Co -consecrators were Paul-Pierre-Marie-Joseph Pinier , Bishop of Constantine , and Gaston-Marie Jacquier , Auxiliary Bishop in Algiers .

He attended every session of the Second Vatican Council . After Jean-Baptiste-Adrien Llosa's retirement , he succeeded him on July 26, 1966 as Bishop of Ajaccio. Paul VI appointed him on December 22, 1972 titular archbishop pro hac vice of Salapia and coadjutor archbishop of Toulouse . After the resignation of Louis-Jean-Frédéric Guyot , he succeeded him on November 16, 1978 as Archbishop of Toulouse. On December 3, 1996, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
