André Creemers OSC (born March 9, 1907 in Kinrooi , Belgium , † September 23, 1971 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Bondo .

Life

André Creemers joined the Congregation of the Order of the Holy Cross at and received on 1 August 1933, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 1, 1955, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Belabitene and Apostolic Vicar of Bondo. The auxiliary bishop in Mechelen , Léon-Joseph Suenens , donated him episcopal ordination on April 11 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the Coadjutor Bishop of Liège , Guillaume-Marie van Zuylen , and the Apostolic Vicar Emeritus of Buta , Charles Alphonse Armand Vanuytven OPraem .

André Creemers became the first bishop of Bondo on November 10, 1959 as a result of the elevation of the Vicariate Apostolic Bondo to the diocese . On September 1, 1970, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Creemers and appointed him titular bishop of Nigrae Maiores .

Creemers attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
