The diocese of Bondo ( Latin Dioecesis Bondoensis , French Diocèse de Bondo ) is one in the Democratic Republic of Congo situated Roman Catholic diocese based in Bondo .

history

The Diocese of Bondo was founded on March 10, 1926 by Pope Pius XI. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Admonet supremi from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate West-Uélé as the Apostolic Prefecture of Bondo . The Apostolic Prefecture of Bondo was founded on December 2, 1937 by Pius XI. with the Apostolic Constitution Sicubi per apostolicam raised to the Apostolic Vicariate . On November 10, 1959, the Apostolic Vicariate Bondo was by Pope John XXIII. with the Apostolic Constitution Cum parvulum raised to the diocese.

The Diocese of Bondo is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Kisangani as a suffragan .
