Philippe Nkiere Keana

Philippe Nkiere Keana CICM (born February 21, 1938 in Bokoro ) is a Congolese religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Inongo .

Life

Philippe Nkiere Keana joined the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and was ordained a priest on August 2, 1965 .

John Paul II named him Coadjutor Bishop of Bondo on April 15, 1991 . The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Josip Uhač , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples .

With the resignation of Marcel Bam'ba Gongoa on November 13, 1992, he succeeded him as Bishop of Bondo. Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Inongo on July 27, 2005.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on March 31, 2018.
