André Jacques CICM (born September 3, 1908 in Robelmont , parish Meix-devant-Virton , Belgium , † July 3, 1997 ) was a Belgian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Boma .

Life

André Jacques joined the religious order of the Congregation of the Immaculate Heart of Mary at and received on 19 August 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On December 23, 1950, Pope Pius XII appointed him . the titular bishop of Ingila and Apostolic Vicar of Boma. The Bishop of Namur , André Marie Charue , donated him episcopal ordination on April 11, 1951 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Tournai , Charles-Marie Himmer , and the Coadjutor Bishop of Luxembourg , Léon Lommel .

André Jacques was due to the elevation of the Apostolic Vicariate Boma to on November 10, 1959 the diocese first bishop of Boma. On February 9, 1967, Pope Paul VI. the resignation put forward by Jacques and appointed him titular bishop of Manaccenser . André Jacques renounced the titular diocese of Rusibisir on September 20, 1976.

Jacques attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
