André Marx

André Marx (born January 1, 1973 in Georgsmarienhütte ) is a German author .

Life

From 1994 to 1996 he studied German , linguistics and art at the University of Osnabrück . After that, he completely focused on writing books.

Marx is a fan of the original American stories of the three ??? and as such wrote a first Drei ??? in his spare time in 1995. -Book, The Sunken Ship , which he still withdrew. Two years later his first book, Der Poltergeist, was published .

Between 1997 and 2007 and from 2012 until today he wrote over 30 books in the youth book series Die Drei ??? all of which were set to music as a radio play . This also included the two three-volume anniversary editions Toteninsel (100th case) and Feuermond (125th case). The 200th case of Fiery Eye appeared in September 2018 . He also wrote the special Halloween episode Der Feuerteufel , which was later included in the regular episode count . After he had announced his temporary departure from the series in 2009, his 28th novel The Player's Track was published in February 2013 . He had previously contributed a short story to the anthology Das Rätsel der Sieben (2012).

Marx orients himself in his novels to the original concept of the series, but always expands it by giving the main characters more depth, introducing new characters or using unusual narrative styles for the series. For example, Night in Fear is told almost in real time. As of October 2018, he is the author with the most novels for the three ???, followed by Marco Sonnleitner , who is also still active ( → authors of the three ??? ).

In 2002 he published a children's book entitled Unter der Stadt in Lentz-Verlag , which was illustrated by Tobias Haas. In addition, he wrote several plays and in the meantime worked as an editor for Kosmos-Verlag.

Since 2007 Marx has been writing the children's book series Das wilde Pack together with Boris Pfeiffer . The stories are about a gang of animals who live in subway stations and caves below the city. The goal of the Wild Pack is to finally be free. They always experience new adventures. Since 2008, the episodes have also been released as radio plays by the software manufacturer USM . So far the first eight volumes have been set to music. In 2012, the series was completed for the time being with the 15th volume (finally at the goal).
