Andraž Bedene (born July 18, 1989 in Ljubljana ) is a former Slovenian tennis player .

Career

Andraž Bedene is the twin brother of the top 100 player Aljaž Bedene .

In his time as a junior he reached his career high in 2007 with 136th place.

Among the professionals, Bedene played regularly for the first time in 2009 on the third-rate ITF Future Tour , where he never made it past a quarter-finals in an individual. Until 2012 he took part in a few tournaments, including those of the ATP Challenger Tour , where he usually played with a wildcard in doubles and always lost at the beginning. In the world rankings , the Slovenian Ene achieved his best position in 2011 with 840th place, in doubles he was highest in 2009 with 818th place. He had his only appearance on the ATP Tour in 2011 at the tournament in Umag . In a double competitionhe plays at the side of his brother. They lost their opening game against the Croatians Marin Čilić and Lovro Zovko . After 2012 Bedene only played sporadically.
