Andreas Ernst (politician)

Andreas Ernst (born June 14, 1971 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2006 to 2008 he was Hamburg State Councilor for Sports in the Senate of First Mayor Ole von Beust .

Life

Ernst became a member of the Junge Union in 1987 and was its deputy chairman from 2000 to 2003. He joined the CDU in 1989.

In 1991 he graduated from the Tonndorf grammar school in Hamburg. It followed the military service ; he resigned as major in the reserve. He completed an apprenticeship as a foreign trade clerk at Alfred C. Toepfer International GmbH. Following a study that followed Business Administration at the University of Applied Sciences Nordostniedersachsen graduating with a degree in business . His focus during his studies was marketing .

From 2000/01 he was a graduate student at AOL Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG, where he became Junior Marketing Manager in 2001/02. From 2002 to 2004 he worked as the press spokesman for the cultural authority under Senator Dana Horáková . In 2004 he became press spokesman at Hamburger Hochbahn AG .

From 2004 Ernst was a member of the Hamburg Parliament . There he was a specialist spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group in the field of culture (district culture).

On May 24, 2006, Ernst was appointed State Councilor for sport by Mayor Ole von Beust . Before that, he resigned his seat in the citizenry.

From 2008 Ernst was managing director of the Nordbahn railway company . He later became Head of Corporate Strategy at Hamburger Hochbahn. In the same company, he became head of the public participation department for the expansion of underground line 4 and underground line 5 in 2016 .

Private

Ernst is married and has two children. His twin brother is Heiko Ernst.
