Andreas Exner
Andreas Exner (* 1973 in Ternitz , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian ecologist , value-critical publicist and trade unionist in the Carinthian Chamber of Labor .
Life
Exner completed his degree in ecology at the University of Vienna in 2000 with a thesis on the natural distribution of the European beech . Exner worked for another five years in vegetation-ecological research at the University of Vienna and has since worked in the Klagenfurt environmental office.
The longtime eco-activist joined Attac Austria in 2000 and was involved in the organization of the attac summer academies and the anti-Semitism-critical congress Blind spots of globalization criticism .
In 2005 he left Attac Austria again (without a complete break) because he found too little response for his criticism of the welfare state growth model . Together with other former attac members, he founded the Social Innovation Network (SINet) in 2008 , a growth-critical network that is assigned to the part of the growth-critical movement that is critical of capitalism . In 2009 Exner was active in the student protests in Vienna.
Exner has been the editor of the critical magazine Streifzüge since 2003 and a member of the extended editorial team of the Krisis magazine since 2005 . In both publications he writes primarily on the criticism of the working society . He has also been writing for SINet since 2008 .
Exner has represented the Greens and independent trade unionists ( Greens / UG) in the Carinthian Chamber of Labor since 2009 .
