Andreas Fulterer (born February 27, 1961 in Seis am Schlern ; † October 26, 2016 there ) was an Italian singer from South Tyrol .

Life

Andreas Fulterer came from Seis am Schlern, where he lived with his family until his death. At the age of 15 he learned his first instrument with the drums . He was a founding member of the "Seiser Buam", this was also his first band. He made his first public appearance in 1978. In 1985 he quit and initially continued his musical path in Austria. After returning to South Tyrol, he joined the Alpine sextet. In 1993 he joined the Kastelruther Spatzen as guitarist and second singer . He was a member of them until 1998.

In 1995 he recorded his first own CD Amore, Felicità, which only contained songs in Italian. After further solo albums, which he released under the name "Andreas", he won the ZDF hit parade in 1998 with the duet title Inno d'amore - together with Petra Frey . In autumn 1998 he got out of the Kastelruther Spatzen and has since performed as a solo artist. In 2001 he released a hit with Donna Blue, which he presented in late autumn 2010 as a new recording for his "best of album".

Fulterer was a representative of the German-Italian pop hit, which he presented especially at live concerts - together with his band.

Andreas Fulterer died on the night of October 26, 2016 at a cancer . He was carried to the grave by the Kastelruther Spatzen in the local cemetery of Seis am Schlern and buried there.
