Andreas Johnson
Jon Erik Andreas Johnson (born March 22, 1970 in Bjärred ) is a Swedish pop and rock singer .
Life
Childhood and youth
Even as a child, Andreas Johnson toured with his parents who made jazz music. Here he already had his first stage experience. As a teenager he moved to a suburb of Stockholm , where he composed and wrote his first songs. Here he founded his first music band Silver Arrow .
The beginning of the career
He got his first record deal with his second band The Planet Waves at EMI Scandinavia . From 1993 to 1995 he went to New York with his band ; there the first album Brutal Awakenings was released . After their return to Sweden, however, the band broke up. In 1997 the first solo album Cottenfish Tales was released . However, Johnson felt that his artistic freedoms were restricted by the label and separated from EMI Scandinavia.
He moved to Germany (Berlin), where he met a girl who had since died and who inspired him to write his second album Liebling . When the record company WEA , he released the single Glorious , in the UK took fourth place in the UK charts and also in Europe successfully ran. In France, the single was released again in 2004, where it stayed in the top 100 for 17 weeks and reached number 16.
In 2002 he released his third album Deadly Happy . The release Shine was the soundtrack to the German comedy 666 - Don't trust anyone you sleep with! .
In 2005 his album Mr. Johnson Your Room Is on Fire came out in Germany . The first single was Sing for me , with which he also competed in the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 . The second release was Show me XXX . In 2007 he again took part in the Swedish preliminary round of the Eurovision Grand Prix, but only achieved second place with his song A little bit of love and thus narrowly missed the final in Helsinki.
In 2008 he appeared again in a duet with Carola Häggkvist in the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest with the song One Love . Two years later he took part again as a solo artist with We Can Work It Out in the Swedish ESC preliminary round, where he finished sixth in the final when Anna Bergendahl won.
