Andreas Kaiser (born May 4, 1964 in Monheim am Rhein ) is a former German soccer player .
Career
Kaiser began playing football in the club at the local 1. FC Monheim . He came to Fortuna Düsseldorf in 1981 via BV 04 Düsseldorf , where he played for two years in the youth group and then one year with the amateurs. From 1984 he was in the professional squad of the Bundesliga club.
Kaiser came to his first professional game at the age of 20 on the 3rd matchday of the 1984/85 season (1: 3 against 1. FC Kaiserslautern ). In the first two seasons he came to 11 and 19 missions. He was in the starting eleven from 1986, with the 1986/87 season ending with relegation. After two years in the 2nd Bundesliga , in which Kaiser played 67 second division games, he rose again with his team and then played in the first division for two more years.
He then returned to his home club 1. FC Monheim (district league) and began studying at the Cologne Sports University .
In the second half of the 1992/93 season, Aleksandar Ristić , now Fortuna coach, brought Kaiser back to Düsseldorf. Fortuna was stuck in the second division relegation battle at this point - actually, as a Bundesliga relegated person, they wanted to get back up immediately. Eventually they were relegated to the league and Kaiser left the club again.
From 1993 he played for SC Brück . The North Rhine-Oberligist, third in the final table 1993/94 and thus qualified for the newly created Regionalliga, merged with SC Viktoria Köln in 1994 and joined the Regionalliga West / Südwest as SCB Preußen Köln in the 1994/95 season . This season, which ended with relegation to the league, Andreas Kaiser played 22 games (2 goals).
Today Kaiser runs a pub in Cologne.
