The SC Brück was a sports club from Cologne . The first soccer team played for five years in the then third-class Oberliga Nordrhein . The SC Brück is a forerunner of today's FC Viktoria Köln .

history

The SC Brück was created in 1930 through the merger of the workers' sports club Brück with the DJK Tura Brück . Until the 1980s, the club was only successful at the local level. In 1976 he was promoted to the district league for the first time. In the mid-1980s, the arcade operator Theo Seuffert began to support the club financially. As early as 1985, he was promoted to the regional league . Two years later, the Brückers rose to the Association League Middle Rhine and managed as champions, with ten points ahead of the second team of SC Viktoria Köln , the march into the Oberliga Nordrhein. The team was able to hold out here for two years before being relegated in 1990 as the penultimate.

After the immediate resurgence, the Brückers were able to establish themselves in the league, but initially had to pay hardship. In the 1991/92 season there was, among other things, a 9-1 home defeat against Rot-Weiss Essen . For the following season , Tony Woodcock , previously a professional at 1. FC Köln and Fortuna Köln, took over as coach. Woodcock led the team in the 1993/94 season to third place behind Fortuna Düsseldorf and Alemannia Aachen . With that the Brückers qualified for the newly created Regionalliga West / Südwest . The SC Brück, which with Günter Breitzke , Hubert Makel and Andreas Rettig produced three later professional footballers, however, merged on July 1, 1994 with the SC Viktoria Köln to form SCB Preußen Köln .

In 2007, the club was re-founded with SC Brück 07 . In 2012 he was promoted to the district league C and two years later another in the district league B.
