Jörg Beyel (born October 2, 1969 in Brachelen , Hückelhoven ) is a former German football player .

Career

Beyel began his footballing career as a youth at SV Brachelen . Via SV Baesweiler 09 he got into the youth department of the then second division Alemannia Aachen in 1985 . Alemannia also became his first professional station in 1988, where he scored eight goals in 24 games. After two successful years in Aachen, Jörg Beyel moved to MSV Duisburg in 1990 . In the same year he was promoted to the Bundesliga , where he was not used. Again after two years in Duisburg, he moved first to Wuppertaler SV and only one year later to the upper division SC Brück , with whom he rose to the Regionalliga West / Südwest . After a merger, from now on playing for Prussia Cologne , he was the top scorer in the Regionalliga in 1994/95 . In the summer of 1995 Beyel joined the second division club SG Wattenscheid 09 , but after only seven games the striker moved to the regional league for Rot-Weiss Essen at the end of September 1995 . Among other things, Beyel scored the “ Goal of the Month October 1995” with an overhead kick . With eleven goals this season in 1995/96 , he contributed to the promotion of his club to the 2nd Bundesliga. After a year with Essen in the second division, Beyel switched to regional division Germania Teveren in 1997 , and from January 1998 he went hunting for goals for Rot-Weiß Oberhausen .

After numerous serious injuries, Jörg Beyel had to end his professional football career in 2000. In total, Beyel has scored 13 goals in 84 games in eight seasons of the second Bundesliga.

After he had said goodbye to professional football, Beyel played from 2004 for the then association league club FSV Geilenkirchen. There he advanced to the most successful striker of the Association League Mittelrhein despite many injuries and played a key role in keeping the FSV up.

He has been a trainer since 2007. First he trained the reserve of FC Wegberg-Beeck until December 2008 , before he took over the first team of SV Brachelen as coach in 2009.
