Andreas Lambert , actually ǃNanib (* 1843 or 1844 ; † February or March 8, 1894 in Naosanabis , German Southwest Africa ), was the second captain of the Lambert-Nama ( Kaiǀkhauan ), a clan of the Orlam - Nama , in present-day Namibia .

Andreas Lambert took over the leadership of the clan as captain from his grandfather Amraal Lambert in 1864 at the age of 20 . This and almost the entire family had previously died of smallpox . He was best known for overseeing the important trade routes into Ngamiland (now Botswana ). From 1889, arms deliveries to Hendrik Witbooi played an important role.

Lambert always refused to sign a protection contract with the protection force for German South West Africa . He was executed two months after Theodor Leutwein's arrival in German South West Africa for apparently pretended crimes . He was succeeded by his brother Eduard Lambert .
