Andreas Michl (born January 29, 1980 in Rotthalmünster ) is an Austrian football player of German origin. The goalkeeper has been with the national league team SK Schärding since July 2018 .

life and career

Michl grew up in Neuhaus am Inn , and in 1991 he moved to Schärding . There he began his career in Austria at ATSV Schärding in the Upper Austrian 2nd Regional League West. In January 1997 he moved to local rivals SK Schärding in the 1st regional league . In 1998 he went to SV Ried in the Bundesliga , where he played with the amateurs until 2001 and signed his first professional contract in 2001. After a year at Ried, he had to relegate the club from the Bundesliga. In 2003, the German, who has now lived in Austria for over a decade, took on Austrian citizenship in order to remain in the first team's squad even with the new foreigner regulation in the first division .

After promotion in 2005 and four appearances in the Bundesliga, he moved to the Regionalliga Mitte for FC Blau-Weiß Linz in 2006 . After only one year in the steel city, Michl went to SCR Altach in Vorarlberg . In the summer of 2009 he moved to Germany, in the 3rd division for SV Wacker Burghausen . Since he could not assert himself there, he went to the Austrian Regionalliga Mitte for FC Pasching in January 2011, where he was suspended again at the beginning of April.

After Michl was out of a club for two months, he was signed for the 2011/12 season by the regional division SKU Amstetten , for which he played 31 games. In the summer of 2012 Michl moved to ATSV Stadl-Paura and was there as a regular goalkeeper significantly involved in the march of the ATSV from the Landesliga West (2nd regional league) to the Regional League Middle. On June 5, 2015, he scored the first goal of his career from a penalty in the 86th minute in a 5-0 win against SV Neuhofen / SV Ried II . On July 31, 2015 Michl was excluded in the 43rd minute of the 3: 5 defeat at Union Gurten for stealing goals. After the exclusions at SKU Amstetten on May 25, 2012 against SC Ritzing and on September 14, 2002 at SV Neuhofen / SV Ried against SV Gmunden, this was the third expulsion in Michl's career. After 4 seasons in Stadl-Paura, Michl switched to regional league team Union TTI St. Florian in summer 2016 and to Upper Austrian league team WSC Hertha Wels in winter . In the summer of 2017 the path leads him to the ATSV Stadl-Paura again for 1 season . For the 2018/19 season Michl returned to SK Schärding in the regional league.
