Andreas Niemeier

Andreas Niemeier (also: Andreas Niemeierus and Andreas Nimeierus ; * before 1594 in Hanover ; † 1626 in Jeinsen ) was a German Protestant clergyman .

Life

Born in Hanover, Niemeier worked for a short time at the end of the 16th century from 1594 as vice rector at the school in Celle and as cantor of Celle , before shortly afterwards - also as vice rector - at the municipal school in his hometown. In 1696 he was appointed preacher at the Kreuzkirche as the successor to Rupert Erythropel .

Almost two decades later, in 1615, Niemeier went to “ Jamsen ” in the Calenberger Land as superintendent , where he died in 1626 in the middle of the Thirty Years' War .
