Andreas Reischek (journalist)

Andreas Reischek (born August 11, 1892 in Klosterneuburg , † August 13, 1965 in Vienna ) was an Austrian journalist .

Life

Andreas Reischek was born in Klosterneuburg as the son of the explorer, ethnographer and ornithologist Andreas Reischek . After his father worked at the Upper Austrian State Museums , he probably lived in Linz . After his father's death, he published on his father's research and gave numerous lectures. This gave him access to RAVAG in 1925 , where he was given a permanent position from 1929, where he continued to expand radio with the then director Rudolf Henz . During the Second World War in April 1945, the radio facility was relocated to Bad Aussee , where the Red-White-Red broadcasting group was founded after the war . In 1947 Andreas Reischek became program director at the broadcaster in Linz. Upper Austria .

Andreas Reischek was editor-in-chief of the monthly magazine Der neue Pflug , where he published poems by the still unknown poet Josef Weinheber . He was buried at the Vienna Central Cemetery .
